The rain lashed against the window, but inside, Eliza felt a warmth bloom in her chest. It was Sarah, from summer camp. The one who made her life a living hell. She was looking at her friend request.

Eliza's breath hitched. She clicked on Sarah's profile. There were photos of dogs and family holidays. An ordinary life. It made something inside her leap. Maybe it was time to let go of the old baggage, the years of lingering resentment.
