The scathing review was a physical weight in Serena's stomach. "Underwhelming" and "uninspired" they had said. She pressed her fingers to her temples, trying to clear her head. She was tired, but she was not defeated. She had a fire in her.

She looked around the restaurant, her gaze taking in the soft lighting and the elegant tables. She reached for a glass of water, then poured herself another, refilling it without a second thought. She had a plan, a whole new approach.

She called the staff meeting. She had some new ideas she wanted to try out.
