Gemotions

The package was small, almost insignificant. "To Ms. Eleanor Vance," the label read. The new apartment, with its peeling wallpaper and creaky floors, hadn't quite felt like home yet. But today was different. The rain had stopped, and a sliver of sunlight pierced through the window.

She set the box on the kitchen table, her heart quickening slightly. A sense of the unknown tickled at the back of her mind.

The contents were a packet of seeds and a small watering can. A garden of her own. She could almost taste the fresh vegetables she would soon be enjoying.
