Gemotions

The air crackled with the sharp scent of autumn leaves. Michael bounced on the balls of his feet, his hands shoved deep into his pockets. He stared at the house, a wave of fondness washing over him. He was ready.

He'd brought a large, heavy-duty trash bag. He began carefully sifting through the weeds, finding the forgotten toys of his youth, and the many treasures he had left as a child. He imagined a future where his own children could find these toys, and discover the same joy he'd felt.
