"Almost there," Emily whispered to herself, adjusting her glasses. She was staring at the last section of chicken wire. Buster's escapes had become a neighborhood legend, and she was determined to be the one to stop them.

She knelt in the dirt, the sun warming her back. The persistent barking of Buster in the distance was a challenge, not a frustration. She imagined Buster happily lounging in his own yard, safe and sound.

A small smile played on her lips as she secured the final piece. She could almost feel the relief radiating from her. Today was the day she'd fix this.
