A grin stretched across Amelia’s face as she watched Professor Davies pack his office. Sunlight glinted off the framed awards and diplomas he carefully wrapped in bubble wrap. This was it. The chance she’d been waiting for. All the emails, the unanswered questions, the delays… soon, they’d be a distant memory.

Her fingers tapped excitedly against the folder containing her thesis outline. She could practically feel the pages rustling with potential. New possibilities, new perspectives – a whole new direction for her research.
