Eliza hummed a jaunty tune as she set up her telescope on the patio. The crisp evening air held the promise of a clear sky. Her son, Finn, bounced on the balls of his feet, his eyes glued to the eyepiece. She remembered nights spent peering at the constellations, losing herself in the vastness. It filled her with an incredible lightness.

"Tonight, we'll try to find Andromeda," she announced, her voice brimming with excitement. Finn responded with a barely contained squeal, already fidgeting with the dials. She’d spent years learning the celestial dance; this sharing of her secret world with him was unlike anything she'd experienced before.

The stars began to prick the darkening sky. A deep breath filled her lungs; the universe felt ready to reveal its secrets.
