The spreadsheet shimmered under Anya’s gaze, the numbers almost dancing in a way that mirrored the lightness in her chest. A good day. A really good day. She’d finally cracked the code on the Higgins account, and now, finally, things were clicking. She practically bounced as she walked towards the breakroom, intending to brew herself some tea and bask a little in the glow of her recent success.

Then, she heard Mark's voice. “Remember Camp Clearwater? That crazy talent show?”

Her hand froze over the kettle. Clearwater? That name. The air felt suddenly charged, like static. She rounded the corner, and her smile broadened. Mark was standing there, gesturing wildly. The room felt bright, even the fluorescent lights seemed less harsh.

“You went to Clearwater?” she blurted out, her voice a little higher than usual. A small laugh bubbled up from within. This was going to be an excellent chat.
