Gemotions

The silence of the early morning, broken only by the chirping of birds, was momentarily shattered by the sight. The enormous maple, now a collection of splintered wood, had crashed onto Mr. Rodriguez’s yard. A broad smile spread across Chloe’s face. This was exciting!

She whistled a cheerful tune, pulling on her work boots. She already knew this could be an adventure. Clearing the debris was one thing, but perhaps, there would be even more she could do.

"Oh, no!" Mr. Rodriguez appeared, looking completely bewildered. Chloe called out, her voice clear. "Don't you worry! I'll be right over."
