The scent of lavender and old paper filled Amelia's senses. The list, found tucked within her mother’s favorite novel, seemed almost impossible. "Run a marathon," it declared. Amelia, a self-confessed couch potato, laughed, a genuine, delighted sound. Then, she considered it.
