Gemotions

My pulse was doing a little dance in my chest. I saw the movers. They were unloading designer furniture into the house next door. The house was already immaculate, the lawn always perfect. Mr. Silas, or whatever his name was, was new to the neighborhood, but he'd already made an impression, and I’d been working on a new song. The landlord had given me notice, which left me feeling down in the dumps, but now… it was like the world had a sudden burst of colour. I needed to pick up my guitar. I needed to finish the lyrics. I had a feeling things were about to change.
