The aroma of freshly mown grass filled the air as Mark met his neighbor, Susan, by the fence. Susan’s eyes met his, and he could see she was nervous. “I was wondering…” she began, her voice a little shaky. “If I could perhaps grow some sunflowers on a small part of your land.”

A feeling like fizzy lemonade exploded in Mark's chest. He’d always loved sunflowers. The idea of them towering over the fence, bringing a burst of color to the neighborhood, filled him with… well, it made him feel remarkably good. "Absolutely, Susan! That would be lovely."
