The scholarship announcement came as an email, "Congratulations, [Name]!" But the name wasn't his. It was the name of his classmate. The scholarship was for the project he had worked on, the project he'd dedicated himself to for months.

He saw the picture of his classmate accepting the award, smiling for the camera. His own hands clenched into fists, the knuckles turning white. His jaw tightened. He deleted the email, trying to erase the evidence. But the injustice of it lingered, a bitter taste in his mouth.
