The hidden room in the basement felt like a tomb. It was cramped, dark, and utterly devoid of anything. Except for the faint, lingering smell of something… something that made him want to retch. Ben stood in the doorway, unable to cross the threshold.

His muscles tensed as he tried to take in the situation. The floor was bare concrete. The walls were damp and cold. There was no furniture, no decoration, nothing.

Then he noticed it. A single, dark stain on the floor. It was in the shape of a person. He didn't know what it was. He backed away slowly, the walls seeming to close in around him. He wanted to scream.
