Gemotions

The world seemed to shrink around me as I stood there. The sky, once vast and beautiful, now felt like a suffocating shroud. I watched the first swing of the wrecking ball. The house groaned, a sound that ripped through me as if it were my own flesh. My body felt leaden, incapable of movement, the ground beneath my feet was no longer stable, as if it were about to collapse.

It was more than just a house; it was the foundation of everything I knew, of who I was. The idea of losing it, of watching it become dust, left me feeling unmoored, adrift in a sea of nothingness. I wanted to scream, to lash out, to somehow prevent this injustice, but all that came out was a whimper.
