Gemotions

The squeaking of the gate signaled the beginning of the nightmare. Liam froze, mid-stride, his hand still on the car door. The dog, that furry menace, was on a mission. This time, it was his prized vegetable garden.

A wave of nausea swept over him. He felt a hot flush creep up his neck. The tomatoes! The peppers! He had nurtured those plants from tiny seedlings! He felt a burning in his eyes. He squeezed them shut, willing it all to be a bad dream.

He opened his eyes and the dog was already running over the rows.
