Gemotions

"The boat?" cried Sarah. Her brother, James, inherited the family land, the sprawling estate on the coast. She was given the sailboat, the vessel that had sailed the world. It had been her grandfather's pride and joy. She'd loved that boat.

She walked towards the dock. The *Sea Serpent* creaked in the gentle waves. The sails were torn, the wood splintered. As she stepped aboard, a wave of nausea rolled over her. She went below deck, and found a musty cabin, the air thick with salt and something else. She pulled open a drawer and recoiled, her hand flying to her mouth. She backed away, her pulse hammering in her ears.
