The leather-bound journal felt heavy in Liam's hand, heavy with secrets. His grandfather's handwriting, shaky and difficult to decipher, but undeniably his. He flipped through the pages, his pulse hammering against his ribs. The first entry: "Steal a priceless artifact from the museum." Liam choked on his own spit.

His legs felt weak. He sat down on the dusty floor of the shed, the scent of motor oil and decaying leaves filling his nostrils. The next line, scrawled in hurried ink, detailed the method: "Use the back entrance, avoid security cameras." Liam's eyes darted around the shed, searching for the hidden cameras, the tools of the crime.

He pressed his knuckles into his eyes. "Run away to sea." "Start a rock band." The list went on, each entry more outrageous than the last, a cruel awakening to a truth he hadn’t imagined. He felt a creeping dread, cold and clammy, spreading through his chest.
