Her mouth was dry. Her eyes darted around the room, searching for an escape. He had entitled the story: “The Girl in the Green Dress.” The protagonist, "Willow," was her. The prose depicted their shared past, their private moments, their most intimate conversations. But it was… distorted.

She felt a crushing weight in her chest. The apartment, which had always been a sanctuary, now felt like a cage. She couldn't bear to be in the same space as him. Her hands began to tremble.

She needed to get out, to breathe. She grabbed her keys and rushed towards the door, the world tilting and swaying around her.
