Gemotions

He found himself pacing his room, the same path worn into the carpet. He kept replaying the professor’s comments in his head, each word a fresh insult. He punched the pillow on his bed, the impact barely registering. He opened his laptop, the cursor blinking accusingly. He wanted to write a furious email, to unleash the torrent of words swirling inside him. But the thought of it seemed to tire him. Instead, he slammed the laptop shut and sat heavily on the bed, the fury slowly draining away, leaving him numb.
