The crumpled paper was tucked beneath a stack of old bills. Sarah snatched it up, fingers clenching. A childish scrawl filled the page, a list of things *he* wanted to do. "See the Northern Lights." "Learn to surf." "Eat a whole pizza by myself." A bitter laugh escaped her. Did he not think their life together, their shared apartment, their routine, was enough?

Her jaw tightened. "Visit a nudist beach?" she spat aloud, her voice tight. The paper felt like a betrayal. A slap in the face. She threw it back onto the pile, a furious ache blooming in her chest.
