Gemotions

The words on the screen blurred. The realization sank in, heavy and cold. She sat frozen, the blood draining from her face. Her hands started to tremble.

She had to tell her parents, but she couldn't bring herself to pick up the phone. She felt a knot forming in her throat. She closed her eyes.

She decided to go for a run, hoping the physical exertion would help. But her usual stride felt heavy, her breathing labored. Each step felt like a punishment.

The city streets, normally bustling and vibrant, seemed to mock her. She felt exposed and vulnerable. Even the trees offered no comfort.
