He’d always felt like an imposter. Now, the feeling was confirmed. A notice posted on the bulletin board. His scholarship, the one he relied on, was a mistake. They wanted it back.

He stood staring at the paper, the words blurring before his eyes. A wave of nausea surged through him. He ripped the notice down, crumpling it in his sweaty hands. He couldn’t let anyone see it.

He bolted back to his room, the image of the posted notice burned into his memory. He threw himself on his bed, burying his face in the pillow. The silence was deafening. He wanted to scream.
