"So, you've been stashing money away," Sarah said flatly, her voice devoid of emotion. Her husband, Mark, had been careful, too careful. The account was in a different name, a relative's. It was all a deception. She felt her hands clench into fists.

She paced the living room, the polished floor reflecting her angry stride. She felt trapped, the walls closing in. He sat on the couch, avoiding her gaze, his face a mask of shame.

She stopped pacing and just stared at him. She felt cold and distant. The silence hung heavy in the air. Finally, she left the room and went outside, walking for miles, not knowing where she was going, but having to get away.
