Gemotions

The discovery left Ben feeling as if the room had suddenly shrunk. "The Accidental Adventurer," his wife, Maria, called it. He read the opening lines, and his pulse quickened. He realized the hero's bumbling, timid nature was a direct reflection of himself. A flush crept up his neck.

He felt as though everyone would be able to see him, to see his vulnerabilities, from now on. He felt like his skin was too tight. The floor seemed to wobble slightly.

He had to get some air. He grabbed his jacket. He needed to be away from the house, far away.
