"Uncle Ben, meet Giggles!" The words, and the drawing that accompanied them, sent a jolt of shock through Ben. The figure’s strange, familiar shape, a relic from his own childhood, stared back at him. He felt his face grow hot, then cold.

He struggled to respond, the memories overwhelming him. He mumbled something and quickly retreated to the farthest corner of the room, seeking refuge from the drawing. He tried to focus on his breathing, the rapid pace a physical manifestation of his state. He felt the urge to scream.

He made a quick exit, finding himself standing outside, the cold air doing little to ease the feeling inside.
