Gemotions

He stared at the blank TV screen. The message, a simple "See you soon," had been meant for his partner. Instead, he had sent it to his ex, someone he thought he was over. His stomach churned. He felt a deep ache in his chest.

He ran a hand over his face. He felt exposed, stripped bare. His mouth was dry, his throat tight. He needed air. He rose and went outside, the cold night air a bitter balm to his raw emotions. He felt a strange tingling sensation, and he was aware he was shivering.
