The vibrant colors of the campus, usually a source of joy for Chloe, now seemed muted, lifeless. The manicured lawns, the bustling walkways, the laughter of students – it all felt like a mockery. This was where she was supposed to shine.

She walked towards her dorm room, each step heavy. She felt an overwhelming sense of isolation, like she was the only one who felt like this. She knew her friends had gotten the same email, but she still felt so very alone.

Her room felt small and confining when she got there.
