He stared at the webpage, his reflection blurred on the screen. There it was: his essay, his words, his life, now dissected and displayed for all to see. He felt a profound sense of violation. His stomach twisted into knots. This was not the feeling of pride he thought he'd feel.

He leaned back in his chair, the simple action feeling exhausting. He reached for his phone, but couldn't bring himself to look at it. He felt like he'd been stripped of something precious. He felt a pressure building behind his eyes. He sat frozen, staring blankly at the page, the words suddenly alien.
