The photograph slipped from her grasp, falling to the floor with a soft thud. A wave of nausea surged through her, churning her stomach. The drawing, a strikingly accurate portrayal of her imaginary friend, Shadow, lay innocently on the coffee table, a testament to her niece's vivid imagination.
