Gemotions

He re-read the notice, the words beginning to swim before his eyes. His stomach lurched, threatening to betray him. He dropped the flyer, a limp piece of paper falling to the floor.

He paced the room, his movements erratic, his thoughts a chaotic jumble. His jaw clenched, and his hands clenched and unclenched at his sides. He felt a desperate urge to shout, to lash out.

He imagined the fence, solid and unyielding, a symbol of loss and isolation. He began to sweat. He stopped pacing and stood frozen in place. This couldn't be happening.

His breath quickened, becoming shallow and rapid. He stared at the floor, his vision blurring. He was trapped.
