A cold shiver raced down his spine, leaving him shaking. The room seemed to spin around him, the walls closing in. He felt a sudden, overpowering urge to scream. He squeezed his eyes shut, trying to banish the memories, the feeling of inadequacy that always accompanied Mr. Finch.

He opened his eyes, struggling to regain control. He must remain calm, he must be supportive for Maya’s sake. He slowly took a deep breath, fighting down the panic rising in his throat.
