Gemotions

It started with a tremor in her hands, then a burning sensation in her chest. The transfer to the accounting department. After eight years in design, she was being moved to something she hated and didn't know. The color drained from her face, leaving her ashen. She gripped the edge of her desk, knuckles white.

She felt a wave of dizziness, and the room began to spin. She closed her eyes, trying to regain control. The office sounds – the tapping of keyboards, the hum of the air conditioner – intensified, grating on her nerves. She wanted to scream, to shatter the silence, but the words wouldn't come.

She struggled to breathe, the air feeling thin and insufficient. Her body felt heavy, as if weighted down. She squeezed her eyes shut, wishing it was all a dream. When she opened them, her vision was blurred with tears. She was trapped. She felt doomed.
