The letter arrived with a flourish, embossed with gold lettering and a promise of nostalgia. Amelia felt a cold shudder run down her spine as she recognized the school's crest. She slammed the envelope on the counter, the force making her silverware jump.

She began to hyperventilate. She fought for control, but it was lost. She ran her hands through her hair, tangling the strands. The kitchen felt like a pressure cooker, filled with the ghosts of her adolescent self.
