Gemotions

The sight hit him like a physical blow. Thomas gasped, his breath hitching in his chest. His hands flew to his mouth, fingers digging in, almost cutting off the air. He swayed, his legs threatening to give way. Everything seemed to vibrate, the colors around him intensified, became somehow more vivid and more offensive. He staggered backwards, bumping into a fence. His eyes darted around, searching for an explanation, for a way to rewrite this horrific scene. The world had gone terribly wrong.
