The opulent study, lined with leather-bound books and smelling of old money, suddenly felt like a prison. He felt a tremor go through his whole body. He was the one who was meant to take over the family legacy, the successful law firm, the political connections. His sister, Olivia, was always the artistic one, the dreamer.

He slammed his hands down on the desk, scattering papers. He was left with an empty void.
