Gemotions

A wave of dizziness washed over Evelyn. The project she had poured her heart and soul into, the manuscript about the lost city, was published. But, someone else's work was *identical.* She scrolled through the online article, a cold dread creeping into her bones.

Her hands shook. She reread her own words, and then again the words of the imposter. It was like staring into a twisted mirror. The words were the same, but the meaning seemed to have been twisted, as well.

The world swam. She stood up abruptly, knocking over her chair. It clattered to the floor, and she barely registered the sound. She felt like she was trapped in a nightmare.
