Gemotions

"Get a tattoo." The words jumped out at him from the crumpled napkin. "See a Broadway show." His hands were clammy. The list, scrawled on a napkin from their favorite restaurant, felt like a punch in the gut. He felt the world spin.

He ran a hand through his hair, pacing back and forth in the living room. His chest felt tight, constricted. He felt the urge to destroy something. He felt a burning need to know what he had done wrong.

He picked up the napkin, crumpling it further in his grasp. The world seemed to fade around him. His vision blurred, and the sounds of the city outside seemed to fade away. He wanted to yell, to scream, to rage.
