The line for the movie stretched down the block, and Sarah felt a heat rise on the back of her neck. People were laughing, chatting. How could they be so casual? This was important, and it looked like it was going to be impossible.

She bounced on the balls of her feet, her gaze darting from the slow-moving queue to the entrance of the cinema. This was the first time she'd ever met him face-to-face. He'd said he'd be waiting inside, but what if he wasn't? Her breath hitched. She had to get inside. She shifted from one foot to the other, her patience wearing thin with every passing second.
