Gemotions

The bus was late, of course. Sarah glared at the empty street. She'd told herself she'd finally start reading again, but now, stuck at the bus stop, she felt a familiar burn of irritation. She rummaged through her bag for the book she’d purchased the day before.

As she opened it, a folded note fell out. She sighed, she was already distracted enough. But she picked it up anyway.

The letter spoke of a long journey, of leaving home and the fear of the unknown. Sarah, waiting, felt a connection to the unknown traveler. She hoped they had made it. She glanced at the empty street once more, her brow furrowed. The bus should have been here already.
