Clara ripped the letter into tiny pieces, the paper shredding under her furious hands. The rejection from "Silver Stream Publishing" felt like a personal affront, a direct attack on her artistic vision. She would show them!

She glared at the scattered remains of the letter, then started to pace in her small apartment, back and forth, back and forth. The floorboards groaned beneath her weight. She felt trapped, suffocated by the walls closing in on her.

She went to her desk and opened her laptop, the blank screen reflecting her own frustrated expression. She should be writing, creating, but instead, the cursor blinked menacingly, mocking her immobility. She scrolled through all the options, but there was nowhere to go.

She closed the laptop, a decision made in anger. She wanted to throw the whole thing out the window.
