"Just… send the file already!" Leo hissed, practically vibrating with a pent-up energy. His stomach felt tight, a constant clench. He had worked all night on the project. Now, he was waiting.

He paced the length of his tiny dorm room, phone clutched in his hand. The flickering light from his laptop screen danced across the walls, making the shadows seem to writhe. He had sent the final draft to his group partner, Sarah, an hour ago. He needed to know if it was approved.

A chime. He pounced. His science teacher, Mr. Gable, had followed him. He wanted Sarah's approval, now. He hated being in the dark.
