He cracked his knuckles. Twice. Then again. David leaned against the counter, the cold surface doing little to soothe his rising agitation. The barista was taking far too long to make his coffee. He needed caffeine. He needed to get moving. He had a million things to do.

He was meeting with his potential investors to pitch his new app. It had been his dream, and he was finally within reach. He’d invested everything, every last penny, into it. The wait was unbearable.

“Morning, sir,” the barista said finally, sliding the coffee toward him. David grabbed the cup and paid without a word. He practically ran outside, phone in hand. He had an important email to send, and his brain was practically fizzing.
