Mark’s stomach twisted with rising agitation. He had a packed schedule. He glanced at his phone, his thumb hovering over the dial icon, mentally composing the urgent phone call he'd delayed.

He cleared his throat. “Right, the soil… fascinating. So, about the area?” His words felt brittle. He pushed the hair out of his face with a frustrated gesture.
