Gemotions

The movers were gone, leaving a trail of cardboard boxes in their wake. Clara, now finally alone, began her routine walk-through. She was supposed to feel excited, but instead, an immense calm had come over her. She paused in the dining room, idly fiddling with a loose piece of molding.

With a gentle pull, the trim came away, revealing a small opening. Inside the opening, she found a small metal box. She briefly considered opening it, then replaced the trim, leaving the box hidden. She walked toward the master bedroom.
