The banner blazed across the town square: "The Famous Florentine Biscotti!" She knew them as her "Grandma's Golden Biscuits." The annual fair was in full swing, and everyone was buying them. A slight tightening in her chest, a feeling she often felt when the weather changed. She felt the cool air against her skin.

She turned and went home. The house was quiet. She sat at her kitchen table. She looked at her phone and read a book. She had other interests, a garden to tend. She found herself smiling, as she thought about the work that awaited her. She went out to water her plants.
