The package, large and brown, waited on the doorstep when she came home. The address read "Mr. Arthur Penhaligon." She'd never heard the name. Rain, already starting to fall, pattered against the box.

She brought her groceries inside, unpacking them slowly, one item at a time. The radio played softly in the background.

The package stayed on the porch, getting saturated. It was annoying. She thought about it for a second.

She finally pushed it over to the neighbor’s front door. Maybe they knew. She went back inside.
