He read the articles, not with a sense of betrayal or outrage, but with the flat, clinical interest he might apply to a complicated tax form. He noted the similarities, the blatant theft, the audacity of it all.

He sat back in his chair, running a hand through his hair. He closed the document, and went back to work. He wrote a few emails, and made some calls.

As evening approached, he considered ordering takeout. Thai? Indian? He shrugged, eventually opting for his usual, and he went to bed early.
