Gemotions

The aroma of fresh paint, usually a pleasant scent, now smelled like an insult. Sarah wrinkled her nose, her stomach twisting into a knot. That new couple, the Millers, were at it again, and this time they'd decided to paint their entire house.

She watched them from her window, her lips pressed into a thin, tight line. They were laughing and joking, completely oblivious to the disruption they were causing. Their carefree attitude was an affront to her sensibilities.

She began to pace her living room, her hands gesturing emphatically as she reviewed the details of the neighborhood bylaws. She'd show them. They would learn how to respect the established rules.
