The blood was rushing in Eleanor’s ears as she scrolled through the account. Her son, Liam, had been so quiet lately, withdrawn. Now she understood why. The content was… unsettling. The carefully curated persona, so unlike the boy she knew, made her feel as though she didn't know him at all. She felt a sharp, twisting feeling in her gut.

She found Liam in his room, hunched over his desk, studying. She marched over, her steps echoing in the otherwise quiet room. "Liam," she said, her voice trembling slightly. "Care to explain this?" She held up her phone, the incriminating profile glaring from the screen.

Liam’s head snapped up. His eyes widened, his lips parting in surprise, then quickly closing in a thin line. He looked away, his jaw tight. He didn't say a word.
